amish people are people you do not use technoledy for there stuff. they use stuff like horses. originated from the Mennonite Church, mainly from Switzerland.
unfortunatly, the amish don't have basketball teams so we don't see them unless we go to there area as tourist "although you'll be bored to tears, we haven't even paid the phone bills in tree hundred years!" however, the amish don't use telephones. they don't use anything electric.
Amish are millionares basically. They make money by setting up stands for selling stuff, but they rarely use it. they grow their food. they might not pay taxes. they grow all their food.
the biggest amish settlements are in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. they also live in Missouri and Illinois.
Old Older amish use automobile transportation. but, they forbid ownership of cars and other automobiles. they also forbid driving.
